Sodium percarbonate is a great environmentally friendly alternative to bleach or borax, because it is non-toxic and biodegradable.
It is a product which, when dissolved in water, breaks down into soda crystals and "active oxygen" (or hydrogen peroxide water ). So in other words, sodium percarbonate degreases, increases the pH of water and makes detergents more effective. As for hydrogen peroxide, it is an effective bleaching agent and disinfectant.
Contains no toxic or chlorine or phosphate.

Uses :
- To remove stains before washing : soak stained laundry in a mixture of hot or warm water and percarbonate of soda (1 to 3 tablespoon(s) per liter). Rub the stains and then put the laundry in the machine.
- On stubborn stains, especially blood stains, perspiration, fruit... Apply a paste of percarbonate of soda and warm or hot water (cold for blood) and leave for a while before washing.
- In the laundry for whites : add 1 to 2 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate in the drum of the machine in addition to your detergent.
- To remove stains and disinfect cloth diapers, washable sanitary napkins and menstrual underwear : pre-soak in a bucket of hot water with 2 to 4 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate, for a few hours. You can also add percarbonate to the drum when washing. In order to avoid soap residue and bad odors, it is recommended to add percarbonate to your diapers every 2 months or so.
