What is the difference between raw honey and "standart" honey?
Commercial honey is filtered in order to remove all its solid particles, and pasteurized in order to avoid any crystallization.
These steps remove the vast majority of the honey's nutritional value.
Raw honey is harvested directly from the hive, it crystallizes naturally. It can be whitish, unctuous and very thick, with a slight taste of beeswax. Unlike transformed honey, it retains all the richness of its flavor and aroma, as well as its nutritional values and medicinal quality. It contains traces of pollen, propolis and beeswax, offering raw honey antioxidants, minerals, trace elements, vitamins and enxymes, all beneficial to human's health.
